Mr.Parker being completely honest, with myself and about the situation. I didn't catch this hog for 2 reasons. 1st is we were hunting a yr old pup of mine who will strike consistent and hunt his ass off but he ain't quite made up his mind on whether he wants to be rough or not. His daddy is a jam up hood dog that's pretty darn rough. Gets hunted in a vest every time out. Painted with scars, he's CRC 's dog. Momma will jump with another gritty dog. But he got knocked around early as a pup and it backed him up for a while, think his nuts starting to drop though. A 2 yr old gyp I wouldn't consider more than well started. Inconsistent with how she hunts. Today she casted 3/4 mile with my pancho pup. Tomorrow she might follow the mule most the time, she is starting to strike more consistently intact she struck the boar hog today. This gyp is loose but has as much bottom as you could ask for and this ole girl can flat fly. And the 3rd dog is a 1.5 old silent walker gyp of mine named pancake. She's a Started coon dog that was given to me recently and she's my secret project lol. Never even seen a hog in her life before today. So these 3 dogs ain't real familiar with each other and they haven't come into their own yet even, so it's gonna be hard for awhile for them to hold a good bay, but we will keep hunting them together and they'll learn and we will start catching again. 2nd reason is we should have sent the catch dog soon as pancho told me Annie was being honest and that it was a hog. Nope, instead I tried to get close before Tim turned weezy to them because after the brush crashing we heard we thought it might be a Charolais bull in there. And I wanted to be right on him when he hit to try and avoid any unnecessary damage to my dogs. Well I took longer than them young dogs could hold bay and he broke right as we turned weezy. I cost the dogs that hog in that aspect
