I think you have to play your cards and know when u got a good hand and when to fold them or"cull" them.

To be honest with my situation my dog is 5 years old. An i know if i hunt him he'll work his a** off. I dont have to worry about him being at my feet the only flaw is sometimes he dont like to load up at the end of the hunt but a little shock treatment has helped. I dont hunt everyday or ever month but when i do he produces. Anyhow everyone has good points an good reason but in the end its your dog and judgement if u should sit a dog down for breeding.
