Some recover from it some don't, only time can give you the answer to this question. Give him a few months and start him over at step 1.

He seems to have a good attitude  im thinking he might work out. Im gonna put him on a small pig this weekend see how he react to it. Maybe this encounter he had will make him bay more if anything he's a jagd so they tend to try to catch . Hopefully this will tech him to respect a bigger hog and live longer.
