A decoy dog, a call, and a good shooter is hard to beat if you are sure that its coy dogs or coyotes. No need to stay up all night with a spotlight. Evening and early morning has always worked good for me.

If you should go the snare or trap route, keep them close to game feeders if any are being used on the place. The wild predators recognize them and use them for the same reasons that deer hunter do.

Id bet money on it being neighborhood dogs or a cat myself. Cats and house dogs will kill for sport and leave their kills uneaten or just nibbled on. Coyotes and wolves are kinda like fat kids and chocolate cake!
Id look for a hole in the fence if I were you.
