hope your friend comes out of this ok. just be glad you arent in california. totally legal to kill any dog harming, threatening etc  livestock or wild animals. and i was convicted years back for hunting trespass etc and the judge said as soon as one dog crossed a property line we were guilty as the dog was acting as our agent. just like if hog hunting here and a dog trashed and treed a bear. warden can actually shoot the dog and then arrest you for runnin bears. you guys need to join clubs etc or you will join our club sadly.
