I really enjoy hunting alone for all the reasons mentioned above. But. I'm  always running different scenarios thru my head of what could possibly happen, good and bad. I find myself to be more cautious in my movements, slippery creek banks can turn a fun hunt into a bad day quick. When slipping into a bayup, I always get close enough downwind to see the hog, so I can decide if I want to catch it, kill it, or just tone the dogs off it. You have to know, and admit your limitations to yourself, to make the correct decisions when alone. A bad decision when hunting hogs alone, can be your last one.
