It popped up pretty hard around me about 2 years ago. Fayette, Colorado, lavaca county. Moment I caught wind of night vision guys getting access to stuff I had been hunting for a few years. I told the landowners I wouldn't be back. I walked away from a couple thousand acres. Now I have 4 or 5 places I hunt there and that's it. And they're places I just hunt because the I know the landowners and they let me. Not because I'm supposed to rid them of their "hog problem". Every now and again I drive by an old place and get a good laugh when it's rooted to all hell. Hell one place had a bull get shot on it, another had a brand new easement road destroyed after 4 inches of rain. Piss on it, hope they root up their wife's flower bed..... As for the traps there's currently a boar buster trap set up about 400 yards from my dog pens on the neighbors to the east. There's a big set of very large and dumb hogs that don't get jacked with that live in the hill on the west neighbors place. They cross me and go root at night. Been a month, and these hogs that don't get messed with, have rooted all around that trap several times. Still ain't gone in it.  Maybe it's the 22 year old kid I'm me but I get a kick out of it. I bayed the whole group of hogs on accident on memorial day this year. Killed 3 and wasn't even hunting. Turned dogs out while I mowed and they ended up bayed in that hill.
These days I hunt our ranches and a few big neighbor places and the couple places back in schulenburg. That's it. Plenty hogs to keep me busy when I want to be
