Old man got it right...the Bird dog on point comes on when the dog is stopped (on point) for 15 seconds...

When the dog shows treed he will have to be treed for 60 seconds...

I was having a real hard time with my strike dogs when it looked like they were caught on a hog but they broke off and on sometimes in less than a minute and time kept starting over...dogs were getting exhausted during these times when I wasn’t aware...I knew it was a Garmin problem but didn’t know how to fix it...sometimes lost hogs while trying to figure out what was going on...even talked to a few experts and they didn’t know the fix...

My dogs are not running catch dogs...2 dogs will sometimes catch a boar or slow him down considerably and I will know pretty quick when it happens from now on...

I tried one Collar on bird dog point and saw the difference and I tested all my collars and swapped over...my dogs collars are now on bird dog point...I am pretty happy with the new setup...my dogs are catchy strike dogs and I want to move toward them as soon as they show on point...

Tree and on point will clear in ten seconds once the dogs start moving...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
A hunting dog is born not made...
