I get what you mean about her. There’s definitely a right time and a wrong time to get ahold and pinching is never a good option. She’s kinda like a school yard bully. She wants to loud talk the little guy and act tough until it hits the fan and then she hollars y’all get get him. The only thing she is committed to is making trouble. One really bad trait that overshadows all the good.

Yes sir T dog. You have her pegged. I have been somewhat kennel blind about her because I like her a lot as an individual. She’s a sweetheart around the house, handles like a dream, straight on hogs, good nose, nice little find dog. She’s the kind of dog that will get you into bad habits like pitching your catch dogs from too far out or rushing into bays because you know it’s just a matter of time before she gets too tight and causes a break or a wreck. I’ve been sending her to bays, which I don’t like to do, in hopes that she would figure it out. She looks great on hogs that don’t want to run that are not big or rank enough to hurt the dogs. You get away with it a hunt or two and think she has it figured out. You keep running her with your good bay dog because you think she’s got it. Then you get on a rank one and realize she can’t help herself. She’s 16 months old and has already spent two weeks at the vet. It’s just her breeding coming out. She’s a scatterbred catahoula, Kelpie, bulldog mix. The longer she’s on a hog, the more the bulldog/kelpie traits show up.
