The vests that I’ve had repaired were done a couple different ways. One company just stitched across the cuts in several directions, it worked fine. The other company sewed a new “plate” or cover over the entire chest area that was cut through. That work well too. I’ve never dealt with southern cross vests or the company so I don’t know how they will do it. Sometimes a company will replace the vest when it’s been cut through like that. I hope the old dog gets over it quick.
