Clue, I could have done it with the forged in finger guard and I made one that I just have to put the handle on but that is a knife where you make the handle first and then the blade. I didnt want to put all that work in one and mess it up. Im learning how to grind freehand and it is pretty easy to mess one up. Mike the knife says learn to grind freehand and it is way faster then having to adjust your jig. I have been grinding junk steel learning and it defintenly is a feel or touch you have to get the hang of.
