I think they’re just burning up lol. I worry every trip about getting one too hot. We for sure try not to push the envelope so to speak. Just catch one or two depending on how fast they get bayed again. There have been several times that we toned them back in when they’ve already relayed. Heat stroke, gators, and getting ran over are the three worst ways to lose a good dog in my opinion. It happens and it’s part of the game sometimes but dang it seems like those three always make you second guess what you as the handler coulda, woulda, shoulda done.
