We had problems with this collar just shutting off before. We normally turn our collars on and let them set in one spot for a few minutes and link up good. This one would turn on and link up but after a few minutes just turn off. My daughter updated it for me, actually a couple of times back to back. We turned it on and left it at the truck while hunting a couple of times and it did fine. Ran it on moon and it worked fine. Then yesterday just started it again. About 10-15 minutes on the ground we lost reception and never regained it. I’m real disappointed in the garmin collars and their durability. I feel like they are just enough better than the competitors that you have to go with them but not what I would consider great quality. I feel like they could do some things to drastically cut down on some issues and possibly eliminate all together. They don’t because they want to always be “improving technology”. They should fix what’s broke before trying to add more bells and whistles. They would make more money, and likely put the competition out of business if their quality was elite.
