I'd call the runt, Black and Tan as opposed to Hi-tan, sounds like the one that is more red/tan might be a Saddle Back. I don't think we should breed for color but "sometimes" there are traits within a strain that seem to go with different color schemes.
Yessir the runt is more of the “reverse cur” style. The red one I kept I call rusty I’ll take a picture of.
I do not breed for color by any means, but I have noticed certain traits that tend to follow certain colors or variations of pattern. I would be lying if I said I haven’t chosen pups based off color. But not because of their color, but genes I expect to be associated with that phenotype.
