When the dogs originally struck they ran 5 or 6 hundred to the creek, my young gyp broke right handed and crossed the creek and headed on up the creek bottom the other dogs turned left handed and ran to the base of a hill where my 2 pulled up bayed " had a big shoat" Adam's 2 dogs blew right on through there and turned away from the hill across the creek bottom. They got out of tracking range, my 2 immediately went back to running when we go them off the shoat, but ran back towards where they'd came from which put them between us and the truck, so we decided to go on up the bottom to find his. When we got signal back on them they were across the creek and my young gyp was with them. We had ridden up the hill and were between the 2 groups of dogs, the 3 across the creek were .9 and going away, the 2 that were back down the creek were .8 but turned back towards up and came by us still headed on up the bottom. The other 3 finally turned back towards us and crossed back to our side. The 2 turned up the hill and bayed "caught out before we got there", the other 3 were now in hearing distance and they all got together, ran back across the creek and ran for a long time until wer got up there and they caught out, didn't see the hog but by the noise it was another shoat. Thats when we went to trying to get Adam's old dog. There are a good number of hogs in there and I believe we had a considerable amount of hog swapping going on.
