My 2 Cents: Start training them around 9 to 10 months. In a controled enviroment. Then after they turn a year i take them to the woods. You want to make sure there Adult teeth are good and set before you take them out into the woods not knowing what you may get on. Ive seen alot of my friends start them to early and by a couple of years they started to get there K9's ripped out. Know im not saying that cant happen to any dog no matter when you start them. But i belive it helps.
