Being honest and giving a fair trial period along with references is what I would look for in buying a "finished dog".  Had a friend a few months ago that had raised a dog out of proven lines that he had high hopes for from a puppy....dog didn't turn into what he expected....in his opinion was too gritty and on the verge of a RCD.  Was honest in describing the dog and made a sale......Turned out to be the new owner's pride-n-joy and fits him to a T.  Kinda falls into the "one mans trash is another man's treasure" category.

Bottom line:  honest description of the dog goes a LONG way when looking for a new owner to match......All my dogs are started from puppies but I always ask myself, "Why would a serious hog hunter be selling a finished TOP DOG?"   I know there are times that $$$ or space is needed but some of these "SUPER DOG" ads make me wonder......WAY too many of them.....
