.I never let anyone use my dogs but there are a few that if they called and said they needed one or the whole heard I would tell them to come get them!!!They are true hunters and if it happened with them it would have happened with me!!!!
That right there is the biggest compliment I think a hunter can receive, at least in my opinion. A month or so ago, I was down to having only one dog that could keep hunting. I had three different people offer to send their dogs my way. Each one of them said to come take my pick, and use them as long as I needed them. It sure meant a lot to me knowing they trusted me with their dogs.
I am pretty much in agreement with Matt when it comes to hunting partners. A hunting partner will answer the phone at any hour to help you track dogs, locate a vet, help you tend to dogs, or any other thing that may come up. If I am truly in a bind, I know who has my back, and they know I have their back.
