The first design doesn't look deep enough to keep it that cool if it is 105 degrees outside......Maybe that second house would do it...it loos to be in the ground much deeper......How much dirt is needed to keep it cool?......Say i poured one out of concrete ground level with a tunnel to get in and just covered it with dirt....how much dirt would be needed (how thick to keep it cool?  8"?  2 feet?....
