my L3 vest has no kevlar it is strait cordura (not sure if that is felt or what it is) and I have a feeling it will hold up as good or better than any of the Kevlar vests. Kevlar is not designed to stop punctures or cutting. It does help but is not the best. I was talking to a cop that stopped us when we were hunting to check out the dogs and he said that if someone stabbed his vest with a knife it would go right through. police vests have to be 40 or more layers with how thick they are. In conclusion I dont think that kevlar is the only answer. Right now im waiting on my L3 viper cloth to see which i like better, but this cordura is gonna be hard to beat.
