I use the "Meat Ball" recipe above with GREAT results and I have herders that run themselves 24/7. Another thing you can add to their food or to this mix is Stabilized Rice Bran. There are dog sites that will sell it to you for around $8 per pound, but you can pick up a 40lb bag of it at the feed store for around $25. I bought the one by Manna Pro called "Max-E-Glo". I use 2 tsp per feeding, but if you need to pick one up quick, get a pint of chicken livers and puree it in a blender (disgusting), add half a cup of the Max-E-Glo, and let her eat about half in the morning, half in the evening. Give her one of the MeatBalls for lunch and just before you go to bed. Soon as she starts to pick up, you don't have to do the liver, but keep adding the rice bran to her food.
