I think it would be an excellent idea  . If i were made of money i would do it for sure, my luck is it would die of heat stroke the very next hunt.  A freind of mine who hunts visla bird dogs does it for all the ones he keeps in the city b/c of a crazy neighbor, last i was at his house i think he had 4 like that, they were perfectly happy dogs without a voice box!
