My son Travis and his friend Kaleb came by today and wanted to make a couple of knives so they forged out two Railroad Spikes into knives. They forged them, quenched and heat treated them and ground in the bevels. All I did was supervise. It was a great day especially since Turkey season is still in. Thanks Guys. Your kids grow up all too fast and start to make their own way in the world and everyone is busy. I treasure the moments when the kids get together or come to the house to make something that we have common interests in. Now they want to make throwing knives. lol

Throwing knives would be fine so long as they don’t want you to stand against wall with a ballon in your teeth!!! They did good with the rail road spikes.
