Thanks for the info williamsld.
Old Man, I don’t know if this is a natural behavior or something that has been created. It’s one of things you’ll always have to wonder about not knowing his history or lineage.

My brother and I had a Dogo. We bought him in 2000. He was a good catch dog. At my business at the time we had a five break ins. He was a phenomenal guard dog. He earned his feed at that. He would let a hundred people in the door. he would low growl at 1- 100 men that came in. my brother and I lived together and raised him from a pup. He never growled at my brother. But with a female in heat he growled at me and we had a come to Jesus moment one day. One time in the 10 years he lived. We crossed them them Pit( I am a big fan of the cross) and the males that took after the dogo would have the same reaction. Everyone I have had loved kids.
Before I didnt like them because of the size. With the garmin and adding the handle. I can see them as a hand. I have noticed the dogo can be a quirky like that. That said i have never had a pit that wasnt an absolute teddy bear to everyone.
My experience with them. I hope everyone that has them good luck, they can make a mighty fine catch dog!
