Me and a my hunting buddy robert went to a place i have in vanderpool yesterday about 5:00 we wasnt there long and started a hog he ran about a mile up the creek and bayed they had him on the back side of a lake in some black berry patches we almost got to the bay and he busted out of there and went out in the middle of the lake he swam back an forth across the lake 2-3 times dogs were fightn him pretty hard the hole time they finally got him on the side and we got him killed i had one of my pups on his second hunt and he went the hole way.We went on hunting and started another hog as soon as the dogs barked they were bayed the hog broke and ran for about 30 mins and bayed they were across a big deep canyon on the top of the other mountain they had him bayed for a good 5 mins and he broke and went to the bottom of the canyon when we were about have way up to them sheet i was worn out we went back down the hill to the bottom and they broked bay again to make a long story short we ran him for 4 1/2 hours bayed him 7-8 times and didnt get him i know the area where they finally started to give up after running there pads plum off. I am goin back to night with a fresh set of dogs and see how much he wants to run tonight. actually...the few that I have bayed in...the hogs like to back up against the side and it is kinda neat to see. They just seems to go along with rough azz country.
but we dont have near as many as your area.

Good one, I have trouble just walking down those canyons much less chasing dogs and hogs. Hope you have good hunting the rest of the year!!!

Sounds like a good hunt and one pigs' day. Hope you get the one that got away. The terrain looks so different that what we are use to except for the briar part. Neat pictures and good looking dogs.
