1/2/10 Sow

Went out last night and ended up with this sow. Not a bad way to start off the new year. We walked a lot farther than what we had thought, and ended up baying her a good ways from the truck. Luckily, we were pretty close to the beer store road on a saturday night and was able to bum a ride back to the truck.This was my buddies dog Domino ( Smiths Cur ) first hog in the woods, and he kinda ran into the hog not really knowing what was going on.   He ended up with a good cut on his leg, but he still sat back and bayed once he figured out what it was. He got a couple stiches but will ready to go in a couple days.

   Freckles has really started to turn on the last couple of times we went out. The only problem is we went last night and i lost her 
i left my shirt out there, so hopefully she will show up. Im kinda worried cause she has been real good about coming back to me. 
Last night was just one of those hunts. We lost a dog, lost the pig, and i got lost myself in the woods. I think my compass was pointing me in the wrong direction.

Yeah me too, im sending my wife out there to where i left my shirt to see if she is there. I hope she is, because i dont even know where to start to look for her out there. They covered alot of ground chasing the hog.

Hopefully she will turn up...my strike dog dropped dead on me after a hunt the other night....the guy I was partners on her with was leading her and she just fell out dead.....must have had a heart attack or something.....
