went hog hunting yesterday and one of my buddies dogs start barking on trail all my dogs are silent dogs and im afraid if she keeps going they will start to open up and i dont want that..my question is...whats the best way to stop them from barking on trail? the dog is just over a year old and she just started to do this so idk what to do.

You wont stop the dog from trail barking its just how he does it, its in his blood! I have been raising hounds for over 30 years and I have never seen a silent dog start opening. I believe they are either silent or they are not. Its in thier blood, its how they do it. JMO

i bout a pair of plotts when they were a little over 2 years old. i got one of them killed a few months after i bought them, but both were very open. The plott i have left is now silent. I don't know if its from hunting him with silent curs, but he is defintly silent now
