You told the details.Dont get mad when someone calls BS.Nothing you said makes me think of a Lion.Maybe you got a Yeti.Didnt mean to stir you up,just calling a spade a spade.

Whoops!
Who is getting stirred up? I think you took me out of context and I didnt realize you were calling BS on me.
I said, anything else I debated on would be BS because I admittedly dont know crap about lions.
I aint mad at all. Shocked I am genuinely interested in hearing your opinion that you seem to be so reluctant to give.

Ive kept up with your posting since I have been on this board and have always respected what you have had to say. Im sorry if my reply came across as sounding defensive. I didnt mean it that way. Just genuinely interested on why you think its not a lion is all. Honest.

If you are calling BS on me that is fine but is it to much to ask you to explain why?

It couldnt have been a yetti. We hunted them out a few years ago around here. Grin

OK,I will tell you why I think its not a lion.Lions are fantastic killers, they dont sit back and paw at things when they want to eat. They run in when a critter has its back turned, jump on its back and bite down in the head or back of the neck.A chained dog would have been taken, with little effort. Not knowing all the details,I was led to belive that these dogs were alone. If there where dogs tied around all over,I dont see a lion coming into that area.I've never heard a Mountain lion to take anything up a tree. They will scratch up debris sometimes, and try to cover food. But never heard of one taking food up a tree.As far as the dog up a tree.I dont know what would have done that.I heard a Leopard takes stuff up trees to eat.You never know whats out there.I guess it could be a lion,I am not an expert. But most of what you said tells me otherwise.Sorry If I came accross like a jacka$$.I really didnt want into this topic to begin with.If I had to guess on whats jumping on the dogs,it would be coyotes,or other dogs.

No problem and thanks.

Cant argue with that explanation at all and it makes since to me. Maybe it was a special on leopards I saw on TV that time. lol

Seriously though I never seen the cat but between the dog in the tree and the game warden they had me convinced it was a lion. Im starting to wonder again.

Sorry folks.......Now back to wolves.  Afro
