Here's some pics from our hunt yesterday 2-13-10. We jumped one who's tracks said 150+... Stan ran him for about a mile before taking a left when he should have taken a right and losing the hog.
We grouped the dogs back up and headed for the Amite River, roaded the dogs about 1/2 mile then made our way back to the truck when Stan struck another small sounder. We caught a 30lb shoat we put down due to injuries. Cammo had one bayed another 150 yards in. Sent Coon and he broke the bay.
Cammo was hot on that arse and Stan joined with her, they ran the hog for well over a mile total, had it bayed about 3/4 to a mile into it. The hog sayed put for about 10 to 15 minutes and the chase was on again.
They bayed about 200 yards from the Amite after pushing the hog for another 1/2 mile, Jug and I walked Sarge 600 yards to within about 100 yards and cut him lose. Anyone that knows Sarge knows it was all over but the crying from there.
We baged this 150lb plus sow... some how she jumped out the back of the mini truck as we were pulling up to the house! :'(
We did our good deed for the day and gave the shoat to some rabbit hunters who had no luck with the rabbits.
