Thanks yall! They are all new beginners.  They all are pretty rough and will bay their butts off.  So far, we havent put them in the woods...if they run like their parent they will all be med range and get on 'em quick!!

Look up the Cypress Lake Hog Hunt on Dogs & Hogs forum.  Blue & Silver dog 2cnd to the end on the right is the dad...Jay Jay.  Passed away a month ago to pseudo rabies.  He was 1/2 blood hound and 1/2 catahoula.  Mom is full ybm ridge back cur.  So to rap it up the pups would 1/2 ybm cur and 1/4 cathoula and 1/4 blood hound.  I would pay good money to have that mixture agiain... Blood hound and Catahoula is the makes of a damn good find and hold dog. Thanks, I have tried to keep em as healthy as possible.

Very nice looking pups.  Right before you posted, I was about to reply how strickly from a visual standpoint I like and prefer a tad more ear on a Black Mouth.  After reading your reply, the 1/4 hound explains that.  The recipe of that cross sounds like it has all the necessary ingredients.

This mixture was by complete accident.  I loved the dad and mom and wanted them to have pups because they are totally opposite dogs.  The e dad was very affectionate but yet would catch his but off if he could. The mom on the other hand is very distant and unaffectionate, and aggressive towards people but will not put her mouth on a hog. I see all points of each of the breeds in the pups but, they all turned out solid yellow...we just knew that some would have his silver and blue color...I'll post pics of the parents.

Pretty interesting...from the pics, I would have guessed the mama dog carried the hound.  She's got a pretty heavy ear on her it looks like.

Funny how those colors shook out also.  I had a litter of pups back in May out of a yellow BMC male and a Saddleback BMC female.  She gave birth to 10 pups, and all were solid yellow.

The mom has ridge back in her which also brings out hound... her 4th generation grandpa had the ridge back and was ybm.  I was told... and I may be wrong but ridge backs were originally a hound bred into the ybm curs?
