I always kill hogs so Ive never needed to cut one. I got a little 50 pound spotted boar in a pen at the house Im using to train with but my son also has a pet potbelly in there. The potbelly will whoop the lil boar even though he is a mean lil thing but Im worried he's going to breed her. she is already pretty old so I figure I can just cut him.
Question is can he be to young? Does it make it easier or harder when they are young?

You should have no problem cuttin a 50 pd boar. I have cut little boars weighing 20 pds, sometimes they suck back in the stomach but they are there..

There should be no problem with cutting him! I know there is a difference between domestic and wild feral hogs, but we raised show pigs for about 7yrs and would cut them at a young age! Go ahead and go for it!

i've never had any trouble with a hog . but to be the safest possible i cut bull calves and horse colts in the 3rd quarter of the moon , when the signs are in the feet ( pisces )

So I have a question. Having never cut a boar before, how do you all do it? Do you just slice open the sack and cut the cords? And then what about after that? Do you do anything to stop bleeding?I'm totally ignorant on this subject.
