Have you tried a shock collar?  Might help.  I cut a pit a while back for fighting but it didn't help but I've heard of it working.  I hate to see a good catch dog start fighting they can ruin the other dogs.

Never used a shock collar on a bulldog, but they work wonders on everything else it seems. Just be sure that you know what you're doing with it.....timing is everything, get it ready and the second that he looks wrong or starts the beginnings of a snarl hit him with the shock.....start out at a lower setting, say 3 out of a possible 5. Just remember it HAS to be when he starts the thought of jumping on another dog. That's the way I would use it....good luck.

If you use that shock collar while he is getting on to another dog is is like watching someone pour gas on a fire and I have seen it with several different dogs.  They think they other dog is causing the pain and the fight intensifies 10 fold.

Hogs428- When you say bossy at the catch are you saying he is claiming his pig?? Is he doing this while you're answering or are you within a branches reach? The way I control my dogs in the forests is with a branch, They start posturing or trying to mount each other I will grab a branch (with leaves works better) and swat towards the dog with the HA! or No! If you're training the young dogs I pull the dog that claims the pig out and tie him out first and let the youngins work. Hope this is what were talking about!  laugh He sounds to be the experienced in your pack and so it is natural for him to scold the youngins so you just have to remind him who's pig it really is!

He's number one     If he's out there's going to be action    If he needs help the SOB is all for the help as soon as the boar slows down he snaps at the young dogs I have not had a snapy dog in years and don't want to go back

All dogs are out 3 old dogs   2 to 4 pups

If you crank up the shock collar to its highest, hit him as soon as he shows the first sign even before he gets on one of the pups, I think he will think he just got his a$$ whipped and back down.

my shock collar feels like a tazer when cranked up on 5... i think you should try it on YOURSELF before frying your dogs brain. Shocked my 75lb catahoula responds to level 3 just fine. he knows the beep means stop whatever stupid stuff you are doing if he gets a shock he is at my feet in seconds.

If it were my pack I don't mind the older dogs "scolding " the younger dogs but you can bet your a$$ I will be on one if they are looking for a fight. I don't think cutting him is gonna have any affect in this situation.
