I usually dont have time to post, but my brother is in the hospital from rearending a salt water truck,( that I happen to pass the accident on my way to the woods yesterday morning, but didnt recongnize his truck)  Anyway, he is going to be alright and I am on watch so I can hit the woods again tonight.

We have been doing pretty good considering the heat and drought we got going on here.  Got a couple of boys in the woods as well, and they shed a good bit of blood as well.

I appreciate it guys.  We are actually cutting up right now with the nurses.  He got a sponge bath from the nurses, one is his age and hot and the other is his ex-grilfriends mother!LOL I forgot to add a pic of my pack as well.

The jagd is Bud Goatchers dog that I am hunting along with his Plotts.  I just got them and  they are well started and have a lot of potential.  Just in the process of getting them conditioned.  Bud has been working on the BP spill and hasnt been able to breathe much less go hunting.  They are fun to say the least!

Here is the curs and buds Plotts.

Chris,

You mean this dang pig retriever?

She will trail and bay her own hog, but will not honor a bay still.  She has been in the baypen 2 times, the second time was at a trial and she placed 14th out of 36, with a score of 9.4 in the amateur bay.  May just do bay trials with her for the summer time because they dont handle heat very well. I would love to get one of those pink ostrich collars for her though.  She has become the boss ladies dog anyhow!:)

Thanks for the comments on Blaze.  He is pure AB, hybrid blood, but is a powerful dog by anyones standards.  He is Irondog title 3 and 5, does weightpull, and does well at protection work for a bulldog.  I have been turning him out from as far as 375 yds and he has had no trouble closing the gap, making the catch and hold, and keep catching back to back in this heat.  Which is amazing for a dog his size.  I believe Chuck posted a thread on the dog trade board for a friend of ours who has some pups on the ground out of him.  He has all the ped info listed on his website.  www.riverridgekennel.net, I think is the link.

Nice pictures Joey!
I have been wondering about the Drat also, glad to know you still got her, keep me in mind before you let her go anywhere!
I am impressed with all those dogs, I am not a plott fan but the ones I do like are the shorter eared square headed ones like those in that pic.

Blaze is yours? did you title him in Iron dog?

Noah,

I have created a monster!

Gottagettem,

I appreciate the compliments.  That trailer was bought off this site and has been great for the corn field hunting.

Krystal,

I am waiting on the paperwork to clear in Germany then I am going continue her career in their club in La and TX.

I got Blaze already titled in Iron Dog, but I have titled a dog before and actually used to compete against Blaze.  He had supposedly seen a hog through the pen and really freaked out before I got him.  I turned him to a bay for the first time back in Feb. and he got a few bumps and scrapes but he took right to it.  Here is a pic of his second hog, that taught him what the business end of a hog can do.  The first one was the night before and not much smaller.

Since then he has been easy to handle and loves his job of Smashin hogs!  For a true 100lb dog he can handle the heat well (for a large dog) and has made long distance catches as recent as last night. Has no problem doing multiple back to back catches either.  I can  pretty much tell him to let go and point him towards the next bay and he will take off without even glancing at the last hog. I still work with him in OB, Weight Pull, and Protection, but at a novice level.

Thanks to everyone else for the compliments.

Joey Young
