Today while playing around on my 4 wheeler, one of my pups was chasing me. He ran up right next to me on the wheeler i kept going a little faster until he could no longer keep up. He was able to maintain 26 MPH If youve done this before post how fast your dogs are. Thanks

yea i used to do it with an old one eyed gyp that we had when she would follow me to the barn. she used to get up in the twenties. i wont do it with my other dogs though because i dont want to teach them to chase the four wheeler.

Sabino,
I used to excercise my mtn curs at Quintana beach and they would max out at 28-29 mph. I gunned the engine twice and the race was on to beat my old ford. I would hold that speed for a while to see which dog had the most heart. I would then slow down and let them beat me. That was the reward. When I road hunted them I revved the engine twice and they would get ahead of the pickup or 4 wheeler.

mine runs around 50 with the e collar set on 4 ole zeke can run 26 beside my rencon with 28" tires so i figure 27-28 with the speedo being off a little. we do it EVERY day along with a 2 mile run and a 10-15 minute swim. he gets pissy if we dont go daily.

Sounds like the dog has potential to be a strike dog He already passed the speed test, maybe you can borrow him and not have to feed... ; Sounds like you are describing a leopard cur if it is not a cat/bluetick cross.
