new dog came with a bay vest and collar.  the bayvest is old and poked through in a couple places.  Since the dogs is used to hunting with it i dont want to run him without it.  I like the way its setup though the vest and collar are two seperate pieces, however the collar has a bib that vits under the vest and the two are fastened together by a screw.  never seen one of these before but would like to get a couple new ones anyone have any idea who makes them like this?

Have you tried Southern Cross?  He is over your way - maybe he could build it??

We use his vests and while the older material he used a few years back seemed better his vests are still pretty tough.

Ive checked his vests out at a couple of the feed stores and i think i went to high school with dustin, i may have to get with him and see if he can make them the way i want.. Ive used his collars for a couple of years and they hold up GOOD...  just wondered if anyone knew who made them already..Seems the custom stuff is always more expensive  Sad

Ol Gary Clark (hog wrangler), has modified Jake's "short" strike vest by using firehose nylon. Makes a nice vest for runnin dogs. Don't know if he sells them, but I've been hittin up my fireman friends for some old hose. Grin
