Had a hog cut the testicle sac on one of our best dogs last night. The testicle pushed out of the sac and got dirty. James spent about 30 min. cleaning it and cutting away some of the membrain that had dirt on it and then he poked the testicle back inside and he and todd stappled the sac up. This morning it was swoll up pretty good so we cleaned the area again and gave him a shot of penicillian. Has anyone else had this happen? Just wondering if there is anything else we should do or watch for. Thanks, Dinah

We had a that happened a couple of years ago only but both were out, cleaned, antibiotics, and he was fine. He even was okay to breed. We also gave aspirin to help with inflammations.

Had one get hung on a Fence and bust his sack open. I cleaned him up and stapled it shut but he pulled the staples out so i kept an eye and it and it grew back enough were his testicle wouldn't fall out and he kept it clean. He was fine in no time.

Had the same thing happen to one of my best. Wished I would have removed the one hanging out the night it happened. This might have saved the other. The major problem which happen to my dog was the infection rotted the urthinal tube and urine was leaking into the scrotem sack. I nearly lost this dog. Now he is neutered and a transvestite. When he hikes his leg to piss it comes out the back. At least he's still hunting and don't seem to be affected be his condition. So be very careful and I would suggest a trip to the vet. Guarantee a little precautionary medical help will be lots cheaper than a trip later after damage has been done. Good luck!
