I went last night with a couple of buddies and got on the same pig across the road from my house that keeps getting away. He ran the same exact pattern that he has run every time except the dogs stayed with him longer this time. They were on track for over three hours and ran him about four or five miles. He would bay up for a few minutes but never long enough to get a cd in there. I guess he was just catching his breath. I just ran two dogs, my buddy's open saddle back gyp and my stray red pup who is silent. Because I don't have a tracking system yet I was glad to be able to hear the open dog because we wouldn't have had a clue where they were if we couldn't. At the same time the hog could tell right where she was at too which may be why he ran so bad. I may have to get some help on this pig, I've got to catch him! I'm pretty sure it was the same one I've been starting in the same area and running the exact same way every time, he makes a loop to the north about a mile, the comes back and heads east. I know right where he is crossing the road so I may plan an ambush! He is also the one that broke my cds jaw last week so I think hes a good one.
