Just wanted to see if I could find out what the deal is....has anyone had any dogs just pile poop up while on the chain?.....Ive got 3 dogs and just first glance it looks like Ive had em for 3 years. Buddies took my cd today and said he was real gassy and pooped bout every 100 yards. Ive checked his stools and no worms. Anyone know of a kind of dog food that might help em out? The stools are solid so I dont know what the deal is..any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated! I guess Im fixin to have to get me a snow scoop or somethin!

I'm with dub on this. Change dog food quick! Sounds like what your using is not very digestable and is hurting their stomachs.

Higher quality dog food is a bargain if you look at it logically. If you feed so much of what you're feeding now....I'm betting that if you get a higher quality food it's gonna cost about twice as much, BUT, you will only have to feed half as much and probably less than that....therefore saving you money, and your dogs will be healthier and 'go' very little. Just my idea.....but it worked for me.

When we switched from Diamond to Sports Mix in the black bag our dogs started having less bowel movements and they were firmer stools. But our catch dog gets so excited when he knows that we are going hunting that he gets the gasy runs every time. LOL  Your dogs may just be getting overly excited about the hunt. |

thx guys...Ill try a better quality dog food and less amounts...any preference? something with higher protien maybe?

I've been using Purina One lamb and rice or chicken and rice for over a year now with great results. Dog's hair is shiny and they love the stuff. Their bowel movements are waaaaaay less and less often and it's dark and firm. I feed less than half of what I did with food such as Diamond,.....also found that you can buy it at Sam's club even cheaper than WalMart. Hope it works for you as good as it has for me.

I use the Sportsmix 26/18. U give my dogs half a horse scoop and my dogs are in my opinion to fat but they can run 4 ever while hunting. Dont have a problem with stool either. Its the red bag. Good brand for sure.

I switched to Sport Mix energy plus 24/20 a while back. They don't go near as much and are keeping weight on better.
