We made a run Saturday morning hoping to get in and out of the woods before the rain started. Well, the light steady drizzle started soon as we opened the gate to the place and didn't let up for the rest of the day. Anyways, where we hunted, we have to drive through a neighbors place, and the side where the places meet has no gate and is net wired so we have to chunk dogs over to hunt. We collared up strike dogs and started placing them over the fence and before we got the last dog over, my buddies dog Benny was already baying about 300 yards in the woods, so we hurried over the fence and walked up to a group of about 10-15 rallying hogs and sent in the CDs. Got a good sow right off the bat, and all dogs had rolled out so we headed in their direction. Got out of the woods into a lane and could hear another bay and tracker showed all dogs treed at 800 yards. Got to them, sent in CDs, and ended up with a little sow about 75lbs, and dogs had rolled out again. We could already hear baying as we were getting the CDs off, so hustled to them and dogs had a nice boar bayed in a creek. After dispatching that hog we got the hog out of the creek and took a little breather and tried to check dogs because we heard a dog get hit on the way there. All dogs were fine, but one dog, Slick had rolled out again, and opened up 5-600 yards out, so we headed his way. By the time we get there all 5 dogs are hammering on a pretty good sized boar but we were on opposite sides of a really steep creek bank and we didn't want to let the CDs go and not be able to make it up the bank, so we tried to slip around and find a spot to get the CDs across the creek. Meanwhile Keegan got a little video footage of the dogs baying, but before we could get across the hog broke. The dogs stopped him a couple times, but we could never get to them in time. He must have ran the dogs through another group of sows because by the time we got to the final bay it was a 100lb sow . By this time we were all soaking wet and pretty worn out, and decided to leash strike dogs up and call it a day. Ended up with 4 hogs in about an hour, First sow weighed 242lbs and the Boar weighed 191lbs. How big do ya'll think the Boar in the video is?? Sounds like an awesome hunt. Not good at judging weight but that's a big hog on video.

North of Shiner ....JK, Interestingly enough, most of the colored hogs you saw came from the same place as the these hogs around Praha......What Wagner? Is that Wiley in the video?
