Got a call at 5 in the morning from a buddy of mine. Lapdog on here. He wanted to go hunt up north and of course I was game. Got up to the hunting spot about 9:30 in the morning. Could tell the place was pretty piggy just never hunted it before. About an hour and a half in we get a bay across the river. Got to go across in knee deep water and get in the cat tails. This place was the thickest I've ever hunted. While we are sitting there waitin' for the bay to sound off again we see a group of 5 pigs come across but no dogs and they are bayed. Had 1 puppy around us that got on a straggler of the group she started baying and I cut the bulldog loose where she was head on to the hog and before she got an ear he wooped her and was back in the thick mess. started to another 1 dog bay cut the bulldogs loose in the thick stuff before we saw the pig and that didn't turn up so well and we ended up in the neck of a lake. Not much fun. Heard some gun shots and 2 of lapdog's dogs were 900 up river and showed treed on the gps. I was afraid to go check it out but we headed that way. got with in 400 and them dudes were bayed solid and ended up catchin' this smaller sow. thought we were gonna get skunked so it was better then nothin' but we sure worked our butts off for this one. 2 1/2 hours, cross the river 4 times and the aweful cattails I was ready to get home...even made the wife happy 2 by still gettin' a lil time to go look at trailer houses.

Cookie monster got her some ear, stumpy and ely gettin' in on the fun.
