I absolutely love Dogos. But the name has puzzled me. After all the names are all Spanish.  Dogo Argentino seemed half gringo to me. But when researching the cesa dog I found the term Molosser as a type of dog with the proper noun of Mastiff. Also known as Mastin, Dogge, Doggue, or Dogo.

But Dogo is Roman not Spanish. It simply means Mastiff. Kind of cool. What it really means is my dog is cooler than your dog Grin Even my other dogs are jealous now Grin

The basis of the Italian, Spanish, French and other languages is Latin. Since the Roman empire encompassed most of the lands.

A lot of the languages and words are very similar.

Know your Dogo can be even cooler! Grin
