For those of you who have never traveled to the west, or southwest, cattle guards are horizontal steel rails placed at fence openings, in dug-out places in the roads adjacent to highways (sometimes across highways), to prevent cattle from crossing over that area. Cattle are stupid but for the most part they will not step on the “guards”. Thus the “guards” keep them from wondering into roadways. [driver?nimlet=download&fn=INBOX&mid=1023&partIndex=2&disp=inline] Obama wanted to change the grazing policies and the Colorado ranchers protested. A few months ago, President Obama received and was reading a report that there were over 100,000 cattle guards in Colorado . (I have not read the report that Obama received but assume that his grazing policies he came up with would mean that Colorado ranchers would have to move or change the “Cattle Guards”). President Obama ordered the Secretary of the Interior to fire half of the "cattle" guards immediately! Before the Secretary of the Interior could respond and presumably try to straighten President Obama out on the matter, Vice-President Joe Biden, intervened with a request that...before any "cattle" guards were fired, they be given six months of retraining to become Arizona border guards. 'Times are hard', said Joe Biden, 'it's only fair to the cattle guards and their families!'  And these two guys are running our country, OH MY SOUL! |

I wonder what a cattle guards sallary is? Bet it would really help out the budget firing them all hahahahaha! Obama is a joke!

Hey if you saw the boots those folks to the south of us are wearing these days, the cattle guards may be rather effective. I still like Kinky's plan fir border security , pay corrupt Mexican generals and drug cartels for every invader they capture.

There probably like a toll booth. everytime a old ranch truck crosses change falls out thru the rust holes in the floor board. Probably make a pretty good salary over the years that ive seen a cattle gaurd last. |

x2 I can probably round up a few hundred cattle gaurds and rent them out to the Colorado ranchers for half price on account times are hard.  |
