Our buddy Marshall Mims has the hog hunting bug and can't get enough of it. He doesn't have any dogs but big E and I both let him use ours. Well last week one afternoon he was doing some scouting with a girl and came on a feeder with good sign. He was about 6 beers into it an she started talking about not wanting to wait for us to catch a hog. I was studying for a test and E was on the lake, so Marshall went and loaded up the 2 Eighteen month old pups Briar and Goose, my bmc Drake and Obama. Drops them at the feeder Briar goes left, Drake and goose roll right.. Within a few minutes Briars singing to one in a bad thicket, the other boys get there and sit back bayed too... Lol Soo of course They'd bay a good boar hog the first time Marshall ever goes hunting by himself. It's in a bad wild lemon thicket and after 20 minutes and 150 yards of crawling he was just about to turn cd loose when the bo hog wrecked everything and rolled on. He dumped them on some sows and they lined a big red one out in a creek. It was still a rodeo to catch her as she took obama, all the cur dogs and Marshall into a cave lol all in all good hunt. Drake and Briar got cut a little but they're fine.

Me and Nickshsu11 took all our pups out to my lease. Hunted along time in the dust bowl until Nick's Tex dog fell bayed. We walked in with Kilo his cd and some 7 month old pups. It was a big boar hog, super tall and thick!!!! Tex was baying real loose and the pups being on the up wind side never could see the hog or figure it out. We turned the bull dog loose but he didn't really know where to go and after about 10 seconds the boar hog had enough and left the country, Tex and Goose( who later fell in) carried it about 2 miles but it was 1pm and hot, they finally quit. The 7 month old pups ended up falling off the boar hog and were running shoats. About 15 crossed the road in front of us. We ran up there on the 4 wheeler trying catch one on foot not thinking any dogs on them. Only to totally screw up our 2 black gyp puppy's that were right behind them.. First time we've had a dry run with the pups at my lease but as soon as we get some rain this Bo hog is getting his nuts handed to him! He was floppy eared and all over 3.. It's war now! Smiley
worn out pups!

Big E got asked to take some guys from Wyoming hunting this weekend. Turned a few dogs out and They rolled on. Blaster and big e's 8 month old Mike puppy went about .7 of a mile and had this sow caught in the canal. We put goose and Andy down later and they bayed a good boar hog! 2 hours later, 5 broken bays we picked up the dogs. We turned Obama loose 4 times and never got it worked out.. The briars were hellacious! Last 3 hunts good boar hogs have gotten away from us, part of hunting so many young dogs and this dry weather. Hopefully we'll get this rain they're talking about next week. Enjoy!

Real good hunt, story, and pics brother!!!   That first one sounded like a typical young dog train wreck!! Grin  Loosin' a good hog isn't quite as painful when I got pups on the ground!!!

Hahaha Chance they are lighting it up! Mikey was the dog that rolled out over half a mile with Blaster and had the sow caught in the canal. Scar and Dixie showed up on Sunday 1.5 miles from his house as they run loose. After a mile and half deer race according to the Garmin Dixie returned and proceeded to go 700 yards into the wind with my Drake dog and bay the big Barr we caught. We've looked the last 3 days no luck, with everything that got cut it's not looking good.  We put 20 stitches in Scar, she's a lil rough
