I'm raising quite a few pigs right now and plan to breed and raise alot more, feed prices are starting to cut into eventual profits, does anybody know the price for corn or other feed grains per ton. Also any other ideas on putting the fat on my pigs @ low prices would be appreciated.

The guys around here that raise hogs get the left overs from the school. Its cheap but you would have to do it every day. Maybe a restaurant too.

T bob,
I feed my cattle a soy/corn blend, 22% protein, 5 % fat it is sold in 1600-1800# bulk sacks and runs $9.50/100#. Mandi also fed it to her pigs when she had some. It's located in east Houston.
Another option is to get with a donut shop, and get their.daily leftovers. Lots of fat and carbs...

Thanks yall, I have an agreement with a Mexican restaurant and I'm pretty popular at the donut shop  but I don't have enough time to go to them folks every day unfortunately. Chris will you pm me the grainery info? I'll compare them to Damon feed and see what comes out on top. |

could you post the name and phone number of the place you get your feed. i would like to try it on my calf,s. T bob,
