Here's a couple of photos of the house pet Lena baying on a hog. She found the neighbor's potbellied pig in the yard the day before yesterday and bayed it up but I didn't have the camera.

The huge sow is just a trainer sow. She's great to bay on because she is pretty tame and good with pups. If they get too gritty, she just mows them over. She gets moody every now and then, but I think that's part of being a sow :O)

Looks like the dog will work out. Got a buddy who uses Australian Shepards for cow dogs. He bays and catches lots of hogs with them.

Lena is like my kid. The only time she gets to play is when the danger level is super low. This sow is perfect for her because she is gentle and Lena bays loose. Actually, the potbellied pig is meaner than this sow. I use Lena for herding goats, and I can't have her learning to bite her quarry on account of me having some really expensive fainting goats. I'm afraid if she gets into a woods situation, she may try to catch with the others and get too gritty for my goats. It's sure fun to watch her "pretend" to be a hog dog though!
