i had something similar but the pups were 4wks old. i lanced it open and got a bunch of pus. hit her with a dosage of pennicilian and if possible, lance it open and save the pus for the vet to examine.

Why should I trade one tyrant three thousand miles away for three thousand tyrants one mile away? An elected legislature can trample a man's rights as easily as a king can!

It could be a swollen infected gland in there neck. Had the same thing happen. I used tetracycline. Was gone in about a week. Doc told me it was some sort of bacterial infection.

I have pups get bit by copperheads regularly, sometime it's worse than others it depends on the amount of venom the snake gets in them. I usually just give them a penicillin shot and they will loose any fervor they have. In a couple of days they are back to normal.
