Today (Janurary 19, 2008) At around 3:45 AM i hear my dad come in my room and say you ready and as soon as i heard that i said yea it's what i've been waitin for to go deer hunting for only my second time.  The first time i went deer hunting it was the last day of deer season of the 2007-2008 season (January 18, 2008) youth hunt and i shot a doe with my .270, i'm almost certain i hit her but it was to late to find her so we went home but i was not satisfied and i told my self that next time i shoot at somthing it will drop dead and i did just that on a hog in Okeechobee, Florida on March 13, 2008 and i said can I do this on the next thing i shoot with my .270 or was i just lucky.  Back to today we rode about 15 minutes from our house to find out that the TN state rule is that you can only buy shells/cartriges from (7 am to 10 pm) so we went on driving to our destination which was about an hour an 10 minutes to a walmart in which the gun couter lady made us wait till 7 am to buy the cartiges (as you can tell we were not verry well prepared) she was verry squirrely making wierd remarks like we dont sell that many cartriges cuz this stays dead and she chuckled cuz she thot that waz funny cuz we were goin hunting after our detour to walmart. we finnaly made it to our two man stand facing a open field at 7:28 am.  Numerous times while we sat there in 28 degree weather, our (my dad and me) minds played tricks on us making it seem like there were deer but there were none. We were so cold that we left after an hour of missery atleast i didn't miss a deer but i also didnt get to kill one.  But atleast my father and me got to spend some quality time away from the women.  We had fun, which is all that matters!  I dont think we will be going deer hunting for a while tho it's way too cold and my dad and me like hog hunting and fast paced stuff way better!  It waz AWESOME!  Afro
