went to our deer lease down on the river. We havent hunted it since last summer. turned loose down a fourwheeler trail and it wasnt but a minute the dogs were bayed. we walked in the and seen it was a pretty good boar hog. we talked the dogs into catching him and we legged him and got him cut and turned him loose. We loaded the dogs up and went to a pine sapling thicket. we turned them loose and rode down a firelane. the struck and caught a shoat we caught it and they rolled off and caught another shoat we caught it and they rolled off again and caught the sow. she was about 130 lbs. we loaded them up and headed back down into some bottom. turned them loose and they struck and caught another boar hog about the same size as the first one. we caught him and they rolled out. we cut the boar hog and turned him loose. We had all this done by 10:30 am. We started tracking the dogs and they seemed to be a ways away towards the river so we hauled butt over there and sure enough they were across the river. So we called and called and they finnaly came out about 4 pm. all in all it was a good hunt. We caught 5 in all. We got two boars cut so thats two more barrs for next year  the first boar after we cut him  the second one  |

Good deal Clint, it was a nice day to go hunting. 5 hogs in a few hours is a GOOD day!

last night was the first time it has rained here in about a month and a half and there was still plenty of water down in all them sloughs and creeks.

yeah I know, its been really dry around here! its been noticeably harder on our dogs to find the hogs and even stay with them like they normally do... I wish it'd rain for 2 weeks straight
