And then both sides were fighting over money, when they could have said "hey lets lower the prices of tickets so more people can attend". they get paid to play a sport they loved as a child, how many would love to get paid 18 million a year to hunt hogs?

I hold no grudge against wat a man earns as long as he earns it legally. What he makes does not affect wat i make, and class warfare is a tool of the politician to turn one group against another and try to garner votes. If you are unhappy with what YOU make, this is still America and no one but yourself can keep you from making as much (or as little) as you want

It does make me sick. To think of a guy getting paid that kind of money to play a game. To hold these guys up as heroes for our young people and then wonder why kids are following after the pattern of these professional performers who cannot handle what they are making or the lifestyle that kind of money brings. It makes me sick that a guy can perform and then be excused for the choices of drugs, violence ,etc .And then after their retirement be placed on a pedestal ie "Ring of Honor". What does this teach our younger generation? They need some heroes that r real life heroes. JMO but I believe at the professional level athletes should get their chance but if they blow it with bad choices they should be dismissed and let another kid come in and live their dream of professional sports. The cost is too high our kids are watching these monkeys perform and some things at that level should not be excused. Let me step down off the soapbox by saying that not all pro guys are bad examples and I do believe in second chances but we gotta be careful who and what we "honor". In the famous words of Earl Pitts "Wake up America!" JMO

   x s 1 million !

for instance

when michael jackson died he was automatically a hero , an american icon . they went on about him for weeks ! what did he ever do ? besides molest kids, make music , pay thousands to put a hex on somebody , take drugs  and all kinds of other off the wall crap  Huh?  our society has completly lost its prioritys and values , and the tv /media is a big part of the problem !
