Hopefully justin(NTHoghunter) posts a pic of ol' Luke. He looks like a heinz 57 but possibly one of the best strike dogs i have had the pleasure of hunting behind.

Everything I own is mutts I couldnt tell 100% what they are my best dog who is now 2 1/2 I got free as a pup her momma was a BMC I saw her the father was a roving bandit they said was a Catahoula she looked nothing like the rest of the litter smaller thinner and from day one had more hustle she looks like she has a touch of hound some time when she is behind a running hog she churps a little.
Second best dog I got from a freind who says he is catahoula but he looks a little pit to me he also catches first not a great dog you have to put him in hog sign but if its near by he will find it.
Third dog is a Walker x Cat mix just getting started will see how she ends up.
I got 2 pups a couple months ago off side of the road look bully/curr mix they are 100% catch at 6months old already caught 2 hogs for me and never let go. These dogs find and catch hogs they arent great they dont get out 1000 yards looking they stay around 150-300 yards hunting by my Garmin but they work for me and I have had a blast fooling with them I know a man can take a pure mutt and go catch hogs I do but I will say you need to have a eye for a dog type to get the job done I wouldnt pick up a wheenie dog poodle mix and try it I will give any curr or hound type a chance I live on 10 miles of dirt road I get a endless supply of mutts if they will hunt I keep them and workem or give them away I would love to try a high bred dog I know a guy who raises some BMC named Joey Hutson been thinking of call him and trying to get a good pup never had a high breed dog.

Found this little guy out on Ft Hood.  There were 9mm casings all around where he was sitting. I don't know if somebody tried to kill him or just had them with them when they decided to shoot up the world and he ran off or what.  Good natured little beast though, I'd have liked to have kept him.  Last I'd heard he was catching hogs down by Conroe.  I think he'd be about three years old now.

If you like BMC Joey Hutson would be a good place to look for a hunting pup.

A buddy of mine had a stray that would catch hogs work cows and just all around smart dog after some cold drinks one night I said if you ever get pups out of Gator I'd take one. He showed up a year later with a pup from his Gator dog and a pit and he's the best yard dog I've had. Will catch hogs, tree coons and bobcats and kill snakes and is plenty smart. We call him Pinchy
